Where is the venue located?

It’s near the small town of Whitwell, TN about 40 mins from Chattanooga, TN.

What is included in the venue packages?

Most things you will need for the day of are included: chairs, tables, sound system, use of house bathroom, electricity, water, farmhouse style kitchen, and the full house for getting ready/lounging/socializing, etc. During cold months, patio heaters are provided within the barn along with use of the fireplace. See all details in the ‘Venue Details’ page.

How many people can the venue hold?

We can facilitate up to 200 guests, seated at tables. The parking lots can support around 100 cars, with additional cars able to park along the driveway.

Are bathrooms provided?

There are 2 full restrooms, off the side of the Manor house (About 60 feet from barn), with a ramp for easy access. One is a ADA restroom also with a baby changing table, and the other is a standard restroom. Both restrooms have showers. These were recently built, have an antique feel, chandeliers, high ceilings, and provide a nice experience to your guests. There is an additional half bathroom inside the Manor House on the ground floor, just off the kitchen hallway (15 feet from main door). This half bathroom is typically reserved for wedding party use, unless you wish to provide additional space for your guests or have a large event and wish to provide a 3rd restroom for guest use.

Can we use the barn fireplace?

Yes, the fireplace in the barn comes with an easy start propane knob to get a real wood fire easily started. Firewood is provided and stored just next to the fireplace as well for easy use.

Can we stay in the house?

Guests have the option to add on house stays the nights surrounding the date of their booking, subject to availability. See the ‘Packages’ page for the lodging upgrades and pricing.

Can we do a rehearsal at the venue?

Wedding parties will be given the opportunity to have a rehearsal at the venue within the week leading up to the event. We will seek to find the best time slot for you depending on availability and your needs. Those who stay in the house the night before will have the option to have the rehearsal dinner at the venue as well.

Is a bridal/wedding party shoot included?

Guests will have the ability to do a bridal photo shoot, or couple shoot within 2 weeks prior to the wedding if they would like at no extra cost upon request. They would be able to schedule a 2 hour time slot that is available and bring their photographer and take photos.

Can we use our own vendors for everything?

Guests are always welcome to use their own vendors for everything. They are not required to use certain vendors. Though if help is needed, we can offer a vendor network for ease of planning to get all your needs secured.

Is there a place for food prep?

Guests and their caterers will have access to a large farmhouse style house kitchen (around 50 feet from the barn), to prepare food as needed. This is residential kitchen but has all the basic utensils and appliances provided. Inside the barn is a 16 ft long serving buffet (that can separate into two 8 ft sections), for caterers to use to serve the food, or you can have guests self-serve from both sides.

Can we setup the tables in our own layout?

You are welcome to setup the provided farmhouse style tables anywhere you like within the barn. Venue staff will set up the tables/chairs in the barn prior to your arrival to your desired layout which we’ll confirm ahead of time. If you change your mind, the tables have locking casters, which allow for ease of movement around the barn floor.

Is a sound system provided?

There is a sound system provided. It is easy to use and will allow guests to operate their own sound, both at the ceremony site and in the barn. The sound system will need to be moved in between the ceremony and reception.

What technology is provided?

All guests will have access to the ceiling mounted projector, and remote-controlled drop down projector screen. There is an HDMI hookup for computers, along with an ⅛ inch audio cable for connecting most all phones/computers to the sound system.

Is there good cell service at the venue/on the way?

There is good cell service for major cell phone carriers and on the way to the house as well for navigating. The venue is easy to navigate to via gps/google maps, and there is a sign marking the driveway entrance.

What hotels can guests stay at?

There are a good amount of nice hotels in Kimball, TN around 25 minutes from the house, and right off the interstate I-24. There are also plenty of restaurant options here. See the ‘getting around’ page for more details.

What type of lighting is there in the barn?

There are 11 chandeliers in the barn, candelabra cannonball style, which are all soft white lighting and dimmable. The barn can become very bright inside with all on. There are also perimeter sconces that also line the interior of the barn, which are also dimmable. There are outdoor sconces around the exterior of the barn, and rope lighting surrounding outdoor areas around the barn and the perimeter of parking areas so guests can see when walking to and from the cars.

Are parking areas provided?

There are 2 gravel parking areas provided -There are 2 main parking lots– 1 holds around 45-50 cars, another holds 25 cars. Both are around 300 feet (1-2 minute short walk) from barn/ceremony site, though there is a pull through drop off circle which is recommended to drop off guests first. Additional cars can park along the driveway. The parking lots are both mostly concealed and out of sight from the main area, so cars are not easily visible in photos. There is string rope lighting to illuminate the paths and these areas. Parking signs are placed to direct guests where to park, so no parking attendants are necessary, though assigning a couple groomsmen to do valet parking/offer guidance could be a nice touch.

How is payment charged?

The payment for the venue is charged typically as half up front, and the remaining half 60 days before the event. However, custom payment options can be accommodated, so long as the initial payment is at least $1,000. We accept multiple payment methods. The preferred method is via check, though we can also accept cash, credit/debit cards, or paypal.

How do I book the venue?

Please fill out the ‘Schedule a Tour / Discuss Booking’ from the ‘Packages’ page. From there the venue staff will arrange an on-site tour if you would like within the next 1-7 days or that works with your schedule. Once you’ve seen the venue, you can sign the booking agreement and complete your first payment– then your date is all yours. If you are looking to complete your booking right away, this can be done over the phone– with the option to have an on-site tour within 7 days (no hassle cancellation policy), so you can secure your date right away over the phone, but still have the option to view the venue in person for final decision.
